Group Piano Lesson Plans - Creative Piano Workshops
PIANO TEACHERS: Have your piano students attend CREATIVE PIANO WORKSHOPS in your
piano studio (and increase your income, too!).
Teach music history and theory to your piano students with ready-to-use and reproducible material that is interesting,
educational, and fun!

At a group piano workshop, students meet to
- study the lives and works of the great composers
- learn music history and theory through stimulating games and worksheets
- perform for each other in informal piano recitals
- share their love of music with one another
The well-organized and
easy-to-use material in the CREATIVE PIANO WORKSHOPS
teacher’s manual is designed for beginner through early advanced levels (Music Teachers’ Association of
California’s Certificate of Merit, P-IX). Most of the material is also suitable for private
piano lessons.
Each piano workshop follows a specific lesson plan that revolves around a chosen theme. Entertainment is provided
by the students in an informal piano recital. Following the recital, the teacher presents a short music history
talk about a composer or musical period. Then the students take a test on the interesting, humorous, and
amazing facts that were presented by the teacher. Various group games follow music history and winning team members
get prizes (optional). Ear training is included in each workshop and everyone has theory worksheets to complete.
Our music students are the future concert-goers, performers, and supporters of classical music. CREATIVE PIANO
WORKSHOPS gives them the background to appreciate good music throughout their lives.
